Sync Service problems with Acronis TI 2015, build 6613 on Windows 10

Thread needs solution

I've read in other forums about problems caused by the Acronis Sync Service.  Specifically, that service has been connected by some to a message during computer shut down that says, "Acronis True Image is terminating the current operations, please wait."

In my case, sometimes the computer actually finally shuts down (long after the two minutes the message says it will take) and sometimes it never shuts down.  The message just remains.  Then, after I'm forced into a hard shut down, the computer often has a hard time coming back up as if something has been corrupted.  It often takes a very long time or even sends me into Window Recovery.

I have had many other problems with this release and I'm wondering if they are attributable to the sync service like that message is said to be.

(Please note, these are not incidents occuring on just one Windows 10 machine.  We have 3 machines in our office and these problems have happened on all of the machines at different times.)

Here are some of the other problem...

I had the notification service working and then it just stopped sending emails out of the blue.  When I tried to set it up again, I find that clicking the Test button yields a message about a network error, but there is no such error.  I even entered all the correct information for the incoming mail server as well, which gets rid of the error message, but then pressing the test button causes an endless wait for a result that never comes.

Finally, there have been times when the scheduled back up doesn't run at all.  Going into the application to investigate, I have found that the back up job is indicating a problem with locating the back up location.  The circle on the main back up job panel is colored orange with an exclamation point instead of green with a checkmark.  Even if I edit the settings and reselect the back up location, the error does not go away.  I have to delete the whole back up job, reboot and then recreate the back up job to get it to work again.  Then after some period of time, the problems all start happening again eventually.  I have no idea what triggers the problems or when they are going to happen.  They just start happening.

I've used Acronis True Image versions for a very long time.  I've never seen anything this terrible.

Along with any suggestions, if someone can also tell me how to cleanly remove (no residuals) Acronis from my machines, I'm so at the end of my rope with this that I may just get rid of altogether and use a different solution.

Thanks.
