I have an Acronis account and password.....but when I attempt to start a sync session I get the above error. I have tested my credentials and they are OK. I have just begun to use the upgraded 2013 version and after a couple of months have finally tried this feature. It is not working. Where am I to look for the iussue.

Are there any other errors in the log? Do you have a current subscription to the Acronis Cloud? What are you syncing? Have you tried to log out of Acronis True Image and log back in?

My new upgraded product is supposed to have a valid cloud storage until Nov. 7 2012. After that it is paid at $X.XX dolars per month -this is not what I expected but....anyhow. The error is related to bad username or pasword, but my account username and password work or I would not be here typing to you right now.

Have you tried to log out of Acronis True Image and log back in?

Can you sign in to your Acronis account and go here? https://www.acronis.com/my/online-backup/webrestore/

Yes, many times....I have read all log files for errors and other articles related to this issue. I have made several attempts to contact chat support and to no avail....no response. Just a propetual loading session notice that never completes. I have tested my computer for unrelated errors , drivers, network problems, and virus's etc...All is good. I have logged into my Acronis account to reference other means for support and here we are.

This is the response to the above link given.....

OOOPs Something Went Wrong - please try again later or contact support

Never mind this topic and please do not waste anymore of your time on this. I have wasted yours and my time here. I was not aware that I had to set up an account billed seperately from my Acronis to Syncronize. I assumed this was paid only for backups and storage. I will map a network folder from all of my storage and syncs to my host server that has virtualy unlimited (usually with a cap)storage included in the annual subscription service unlike Acronis who has charged me for the program and now wishes to asess a cost for cloud storage and syncronization as well. This just will not do!
Apologies.....and thank you for the assistance-

Sorry you are having problems with the Acronis Cloud services. Let me clear up a couple of things for you though.

The Acronis Cloud subscription is OPTIONAL for online backup, and Cloud based Syncs.

In order to Sync from one local location to another (either between two folders on your system, or between your system and an external drive, other location within your local network between mapped drives/folders, or UNC named locations, etc.), you DO NOT need a paid subscription to the Acronis Cloud services, but you do need an Acronis online account (which you already have), and the Acronis Cloud server must be operational.

The error Event code: 0x00E40040+0x0098032F+0x00000019 when trying to Sync, and the Cloud server error:
"Storage Server is not available
Sorry, the Storage Server is not available now. Please try again later".

The issue with the Acronis Cloud server not being available is, of course, a problem that shouldn't exist, and needs to be addressed by Acronis.

If you are having trouble contacting support via chat, you could try a different browser to see if that helps.

Sorry to hi jack this thread but i have the same problem

I am in trial mode and would like to sync two folders across my network to a second PC, it says i need to sign in, i do with the account details i have entered on the website, it then gives me email and password errors, i also assumed i had to pay a subscription to sync locally and nearly uninstalled and returned to mirror folder, if this is not the case A) why must i log into the cloud server to sync locally, and B) what are the errors and why can i not log in at all?

attached recent log.

EDIT: just tried with your link you posted James and i get this:

Sorry, the Storage Server is not available now. Please try again later.

I hope this isn't a problem all the time, giving money to a sporadic service is no fun!

thanks

I can't answer for Acronis as to why you have to log in to use local sync, but it seems to be how they have designed the sync portion of the program, and can not be changed by the end user.

At the present time, I can log in and use the online backup and sync Cloud server that my account is linked to. I believe that there is more than one server and they may be designated for different regions in the world. I am in the US and the Cloud server I use is up and running.

Your login errors are a result of the server either not being online, or the server is having problems when authenticating your account. Both problems would need to be addressed by Acronis.

James

Sorry, wish they did.........

I believe the reason login is required for sync is so that you can sync for example to a laptop from different networks. Your sync metadata is kept by the Sync server at Acronis to enable off site synching in this manner.

its a shame as i often need to sync across my network when no internet connection is available, I'll have to keep using Mirror folder for that then.
