System back up fails even though Acronis says it completed successfully
Using Acronis True Image Home 2011 Plus Pack. Update 3 (build 6942). Running Win 7 Ultimate on MX17 Alienware machine
Since installing the last upgrade (6942), I can no longer do a system back up.
I create a new back up with all new settings. There is no longer a "System" option just partition options. I choose my "C" drive and the recovery drive for backing up (both total around 720 GB).
According to other comments on these forums, the size and # of files is only an issue when backing up files etc and should not be an issue when doing a complete System back up.
The destination drive shows up no problem. The back up starts to destination "My Partitions" in the correct target drive
It appears to be creating the back up file in my target external HD (when I look in there) and shows 12 hours or so to completion on the main page.
Within a few minutes, the main page shows the task has completed successfully with 10.69 GB file size.
However, my file size SB around 700 GB and there is no back up file in the destination drive. I get an error when I click on "open back up location"....saying it is non existing.
When I go to the actual HD to check it, there is no back file there as well.
I sure hope someone can help me out with this problem...Looks like there are loads of issues with the 2012 version as well so I am not planning on purchasing a new version any time soon.
