System cannot find specified path

Thread needs solution

When I run a True Image 2010 Backup in a Win 7 Virtual Machine under Parallels 6, I set the archive location to a separate internal hard drive which is shared to Parallels and is assigned as drive X:. I can access this drive from Explorer and from a DOS prompt. When I run the backup, it fails saying "System cannot find specified path".

I can backup successfully to the Win 7 Desktop so the software is installed OK.

When I set the archive location, I click on the x: drive, click Authentication Settings, enter my Win 7 sign on info, press the Test Authentication button, and it says Correct.

Despite all this, the backup fails.

What do i need to do?

Have you tried using the UNC path (if available) instead (\\Server\share)?

Also, you must use the browse function to advise TI where the file is located. You cannot use a pre-listed task. When booted from the CD, the path to the archive will differ from the path used when booted from within Windows.
