System Recovery failed?

I've done backups and recoveries through True Image 2009, and 2010. I just recently am trying 2011 to restore a partition and mbr. The backup from a 80GB EIDE to a USB 1 TB drive, two backups using 2011 were successful. Unfortunately, when I tried to restore it, I keep on now getting recovery failed. The recovery erased my partition allocation. So now even what was backed up is now gone. File by file shows me a backup file listing. But, how do I restore everything, if it keeps failing?

Same two drives I used the 2010 version in October and November, worked fine. Even recovery. What works in 2010 does not work with the 2011 version.

I am about to reinstall windows, and try to do file by file from the backup to restore something. But I'd like to see what my options are now, since the recovery process unallocated the drive, and the recovery failed? During the backup process, both backups listed as being successful. But I have no idea what is preventing me from doing a restore?

Any ideas on why 2011 would fail?
