TI 2011 last build: compression not working

Thread needs solution

Meanwhile somebody solves my issue http://forum.acronis.com/forum/14694 I've just done a backup.
The partition is 180GB and I selected MEDIUM compression. It told me that the backup would have taken about 95GB.
However, the backup takes 176GB on my lan-connected disk!
This is a huge problem as my lan backup disk is 200gb so only 24GB are left.

What type of files are being backed up? If most of them are JPG, MP3, ZIP, or other already highly compressed types, TI won't be able to compress them further.

Did you select sector-by-sector mode?

Have you checked if there are any file system errors on the partition (using chkdsk)?

Hi,
yes, most of them are personal photos, h264 and dvx videos, compressed songs... this makes sense.
However I don't understand which source does the program take that "95GB" from.
I'd suggest to delete this feature as it may leads to misunderstandings, because it doesn't take into account the nature of the files.
