TI 2013 Deleting Old Backups

Thread needs solution

I have TI 2013 Plus Pack installed and I make nightly backups with a reserve copy to an external hard drive. Periodically I have been simply deleting the reserve TIB files as that HD fills up.

My problem is that now TI thinks I have reserve backups dating back over a year. Sure I can click on each one and delete it (remove it from the list), but every time I do, the program goes "Not Responding" and it takes about 30 seconds to come back. At this rate I'll be here for about a month deleting old entries.

Is there any way do delete more than one at a time or clear them all at once?

Thank you,
Steve

Your actual backups will be retained but if you are willing to start over with new backup tasks, you could RENAME the ARCHIVES.XML file found in the DATABASE folder of Acronis. The file will be recreated. It contains the database history which will restart. Maybe rename to oldarchives.xml and the new file will auto recreate.

You might also want to change(disable) the setting for "Scan for Backup at STartup"
