TI Home 11 backup is not bootable
Recovery of my Acronis backup (after HD replacement) doesn't boot;
Backup of the C: partition said "NTLDR missing". I solved this issue by copying a NTLDR to c:.
The D: partition (Where I have all programs and data) is succesfully recovered (Active!), but is not recognised by Windows as a bootable partition.
In the Windows Repairmode I can log in on both windows directories [1] c: \windows en [2] h:\windows, but
When using BOOTCFG /scan of /rebuild only [1] c:\windows is shown as bootable.
I tried copying NTLDR, NTDETECT.com and boot.ini to d:, no succes. And
fixmbr en fixboot do not have effect
How can I get my D: partition bootable again?

I have a dual boot installation with windows on C and on D;
It worked well untill i had to replace the broken HD
old and new situation; c: is pri+act and d: is act.

Sometimes you just have to specify the boot disk order inthe BIOS after installng a new hard disk.

Right, you didn't mention dual boot on single hard disk. Assuming this is a Microsoft dual boot, and you are not using a third party boot manager, only C should be Active but both must be primary. Did you restore D as Logical?

Yep, I just checked it;
C is actice + primary and D is primary
I restored D (as advised bij TI) as primary -> so not logical

That sounds OK then. Did you also restore the MBR?

Correct, I did so + there is now just one HD in the PC

I did FIXMBR and FIXBOOT from the Windows Repair console (CD); no effect!
Or do you mean restore MBR from the image? That results in a "MBR 1 is not correct" (or something like that)

I've never had to restore to a new disk myself, but seem to remember similar issues on here before, and believe an XP repair on D may be necessary.
I assume C is booting OK?
EDIT - what do you mean by there is now only one HD, were there two previously?
EDIT 2 - I meant restore MBR from the image, but if that is generating an error????????????
