TI Home 2012 will not start

I have a Windows 7 Professional machine and installed True Image Home 2012 a little over a month ago. It has been working. There have been no changes at all in the configuration of the computer or in its settings since TI was installed.

Tonight, I cannot get the program to start. When I click on the desktop icon, my antivirus icon (Avast) spins briefly, the little blue Windows circle spins a couple of times, and the hard drive light flickers briefly. Then, nothing.

I get the same result if I use trueimagelauncher.exe under Program Files in Computer.

I have tried disabling the anti-virus, but that doesn't help. Other programs will start from the desktop.

My apologies for this post. I failed to try the simplest thing, which was to
turn the computer off. I had rebooted, but the problem persisted.
But when I turned the machine off and then back on, I was able
to start True Image.

Doh.

Hi Seeker 301,
interesting because exactly the same thing happened to me a couple of days ago. I rebooted but it was still a no show. Shut down and reboot and it was back working. And not the for the first time either.

Also interesting is you running W7 pro because that seems a common theme to many of the non starting issues reported.

Tom... I never use sleep or hibernate. Always a full shut down.
