TI runs to end, messages then starts again
TI 2011 Update 1 - 6696 - on Win XP SP3
I have TI scheduled to back up my whole system to a second internal SATA and an external drive on alternate days. The new full backup overwrites the one already in the target location.
The backup starts up OK, runs (I watch % progress) and then messages that the backup is complete. Almost immediately it then gives me another message telling me that it is starting again. When I interrupt it I then get the "Cancelled by user" or similar messages.
Today's event is a backup from the system disk to an external Seagate drive.
I attach some logs but they don't seem to show any more info. I have checked the scheduling etc. carefully.

Hello Foxfan100,
Thank you for finding time to report about the issue, I will be glad to help you with it.
It looks to be related to the Scheduler glitch (Scheduler is a part of Acronis True Image Home which is responsible for the task execution and running).
In order to fix it please update the Scheduler as mentioned here.
Should the issue remain, please gather Acronis Info, submit a case with the information attached, and let us know it's number.
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you!

Thanks for your reply.
Firstly, the problem is not that the backup fails to start, but that it starts once, runs to end and then starts again immediately.
The fix suggests that installing scheduler 461 will fix problems in Acronis True Image Home 2011 up to build 6597, and I am assuming that subsequent builds incorporate any fixes. My version is Update 1, build 6696, so I would assume that 461 or whatever has been included. I am reluctant to load a retrospective fix in case it causes other problems.
I would be grateful for your comments.
Thanks,
Peter

I think I know what the problem is.
I have been running TI in older versions and picked up my backup plans for the latest ugrade I have just installed.
I deleted my old plan, and the backups, and recreated it from scratch at which point it has run OK just the once.
However, I am concerned that the logfile contains "error while parsing script file code=0x00900004" and a number of other similar errors. The logfile is attached.

After examining the logs, I think I can see what the problem may be.
1) On my earlier version of TI, I had scheduled backups to folders on both internal and external hard drives.
2) When I installed the upgrade I had planned to reuse my old backup settings. However as noted before I have removed all those old backups and recreated them.
3) HOWEVER, today I notice that my new created scheduled backup starts and runs to end. On conclusion, another backup started almost immediately, which I terminated.
The log shows that it was my old backup to that drive starting, erroring out with "file not found" - because I have deleted the old folder and backup in it - and then stopping when I user-terminated it.
The question therefore seems to be- HOW DO I get rid of these old backup settings, given that they no longer appear in the TI backup plans list?
