TI - what version supports backup of USB SD and CF cards?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I've not been here on the Acronis forum before, but used to be fairly regular on Wilders TrueImage forum a couple of years ago.
I've been happy using TI9 build 3567 (one of the last builds).
I normally (and prefer to) use the Bootable Rescue CD to create tib files.
I occasionally check the Acronis website to see if anything in more recent releases might be useful for me. Until now it didn't seem worthwhile to upgrade.
I have now purchased Windows 7 and I understand that TI9 will not work with Windows 7.
I have read various forum threads which have reported lots of problems with TI 2010.
Not that I'm surprised, it's been typical of Acronis over the years.
I expect that most of the issues will get fixed in the next few builds although I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for all the problems to get fixed.
In spite of that I am considering TI 2010 (or maybe TI 2009 build 9809 - which I've read in forum seems to support Windows 7).

Apart from fully working with Windows 7 the other feature I'm looking for is the ability to create tib images of Secure Digital (SD) cards and CompactFlash (CF) cards using my USB 2 card reader (and, of course, validate and restore).

I found this article in the Acronis Knowledge Base:
http://kb.acronis.com/content/1645
Extract:

1645: Backing Up Data Stored on USB Flash Drive
Created - Sep 11, 2006; Updated - Mar 26, 2009; Access Level - Public
You can select the Files and folders option of the Acronis True Image Backup Wizard to create an image of data stored on a USB flash drive

Introduction
Acronis True Image can create an image of the whole flash card only if it is formatted as a hard disk drive. (A hard disk drive has a partition table).
------------------------

TI9 doesn't see my FAT32 formatted SD card or FAT formatted CF card.
Can anyone tell me which version of TI first introduced this feature?
What is the first version of TI has this feature bug free?

The Knowledge Base article above mentions using the Files and Folder option but in the Introduction says "can create an image of the whole flash card only if it is formatted as a hard disk drive"

I'm not clear if the Linux based Bootable Rescue disk (from whatever version supports this feature) will be able to create such a tib image.
Anyone know?

I thought I'd ask for comments before spending time downloading the latest trial - particularly since I doubt I can create a Bootable Rescue disk from the trial version.
