TI11 Freezes system (XP)

Thread needs solution

I have been using TI since ver 8, and it has always worked. Now when I try a FULL backup, it will run for a while and then my system freezes. ONLY a forced reboot will bring it back. Even ctrl-alt-del will not respond, and the mouse is also dead. When I look at the destination drive the file is 0 bytes. Other backup programs work so I wonder what TI could suddenly not like.

OH, I wanted to edit this, but I can't so I will add the following info...

I have had this happen when I use the Recovery CD so it is NOT windows!

You might check if your Acronis account offers a newer download for verion 11.

Have you made some changes to your system such as adding a new disk, or an external disk or a printer or mouse or flash drive, etc?

What are you backing up to? If usb, try a different connector or cable and plug into rear of computer case.

Are you sure it was frozen? How long did you wait? Rescue Media's estimated time counter is wildly inaccurate, and sometimes it may appear that operations are stalled even though it is still working.

Thank you both. No, nothing added and it was on an internal RAID drive and again on an external eSATA drive. They used to work just fine and ti11 is up to date...8101. I waited, but when I say it is frozen, I mean no kb or mouse works. I need to crash the system.
