TI2012 refund and support issues
I've had TI2009, TI2011 and just recently upgraded to TI2012. I've always just used the disk backup and recovery of 09 and 11 but decided to use the file backup in other backups to put some images on blu-ray.
I selected the files, a little less than 150gb and started the process. All was going along smoothly as each disk was ejected and a new one burned, etc. When I checked on the last disk after about an hour or so, it was ejected but there was no dialogs visible telling anything about what happened. The main TI screen showed the name of the backup I just did but showed 'The last backup has been canceled by user' (which I did no such thing) and when I tried to browse for backups, none of the disks showed any files in TI yet in Windows explorer each disk had 20+GB .tib file on them so in essence, I just coastered 6 blu-ray disks and upgraded for nothing.
My blu-ray drive has worked flawlessly on disk copying and 2 or 3 spanned disk backups using the PowerDVD stuff. I'm on an i980 Extreme, 12gb Windows 7 Ultimate box with a mix of SSD's and internal Velociraptors with varied external drives running on a BlackX eSata. I should have read the forums especially after going thru the 'failed to initialize snapin' scenario and having to uninstall and reinstall everything, but as is usually the case, I trusted Acronis based on past use.
After logging in to my account, I saw that my support had expired and Acronis wanted money so very simply, you're not getting any more of my money and I want my TI2012 purchase fully refunded. I am sending this same info to Acronis once I find out how as they gray out everything if they want you to pay. An utterly ridiculous, greedy ploy that I will not fund!!
