TI2014 hangs after clicking "Recover" on a backup

Start TI2014 in Windows 7-64
Wait for all backup sets to load
Click on Recover
Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait...

Workaround - use recovery CD. OK, but not a real solution.

Any help most appreciated.

If you recover a partition, I strongly recommend you use the recovery CD. It is a real solution and the recommended approach. Of course, recovery started from Windows is supported, and it works for many many users. For some it doesn't.

That is not a solution, is it?
1. Recovering a partition from within Windows reboots the computer and recovers the partition. The difference is the convenience of not having to re-enter all recovery option each time you recover.

2. This approached worked for me until recently.

3. If a feature is part of the product, it must work for everyone, or at least the developer should work with customers to fix any issues that arise. To dismiss an issue by saying "it works for many many users. For some it doesn't" is to dismiss customers. Dismiss a customer - lose a customer (or many, depending on how much noise a customer is ready to make).
