TIH 11 restore question
I need to go onsite to a customer quite unexpectedly whom is using TIH 11 and is using an HP system which has a SATA-2 controller. From past experiences I know that TIH 11 usually doesn't work on SATA-2 controllers directly unless you are able to enable IDE mode on the SATA ports. This system can't. Now I still have a retail box of ATIH 2009 on the shelf which is able to restore to SATA-2 controllers and I am wondering: can I restore a retail ATIH 11 backup using a retail ATIH 2009 CD? I.e. is backward compatability secured in the product? That way I can just quickly swing by the office later on, grab that box and take it with me, instead of going through the process of figuring out how to create and creating a new ATIH 11 cd with sata2 support.
TIA!!

That one is accesible. Still though... why can't I access the other KB article?

Hello Every1is=,
I understand your concern and will do everything possible to help you.
Acronis offers one-version-back compatibility, i.e. you can restore an archive created with an older version of the software with a subsequent one (e.g. you can restore the backup created by Acronis True Image 11 Home with Acronis True Image 2009 Home).
Older backup archives will be also accessible, but error-free recovery is not guaranteed.
KB artcile #1542 is discontinued, however, we've created a new article available at this address.
Please reply to this thread if there will be any additional questions.
Thank you.
