TIH 2011 and SSD drives

Materials with TIH 2010 made is clear that that a full disk backup of SSD drives was necessary (not partitions) to avoid alignment problems on restore.

There is not a word concerning SSD drives in the TIH 2011 user guide about SSD drives.
I have not been able to get a definitive answer from Acronis suport as to wheather it is now safe to do partition backups of SSD drives without worry about alignment problems on restore. Bummer!

The position around TI2011 and SSD support appears confused. I have been watching this subject and also would like a clear answer. The Acronis website shows full support for SSD's:
