TIH 2013 - Can't find WD NAS after boot with rescue disk.

Thread needs solution

I have TIH 2013 (Build 5551) on a Sony E series notebook with Win8 Pro. I have been able to do image backups to my NAS (WD My Book Live Duo RAID-1 2TB) drive as a mapped drive. I have a Linksys E4200 wireless router.

I created a rescue boot disk for TIH on a USB thumb drive. However, when I boot with the thumb drive and get into the recovery software, neither my NAS mapped drive or the tib file are able to be accessed. What do I need to do to access the NAS drive so I could restore my hard disk?

When using ATI with a network drive, use a UNC path to to your NAS device for a backup destination, not a typical friendly "mapped" drive.
e.g.
\\192.168.2.25\My Backups\

I believe it may also be possible to use a UNC path that includes server name rather than IP, such as
\\server1\My Backups\

Thanks for replying. How do I set up my NAS drive with a UNC path on my computer? I can't find anything on the internet. And where do I enter that info in the ATIH software used on the rescue disk?
