True Image 2012 caused BSoD when SD card inserted on my PC upgraded to Windows 7. Solved now?

Thread needs solution

This is my first post here, so please be gentle. I have to write this here because my old TI 2012 won't allow me to email support.

I have been using True Image several years and until recently had settled on TI 2012, which worked well on my PC before upgrading OS from XP SP3 to Windows 7 Home Premium.

During XP days I frequently transfered image files via USB card reader to my PC. After upgrade the inserted card reader with memory card in caused Blue Screen of Death. Inserting the USB reader alone, or digital camera without card installed drivers, but memory card (any of several tested) crashed instantly my PC.

I had contact with SanDisk, maker of my memory cards and readers, and their support suggested to upgrade drivers. So I did, but it didn't solve BSoD problem. I was prepared to upgrade hardware but fortunately intense Google searching pointed to a similar problem and solution: I uninstalled True Image 2012. Now things work as they used, thanks to a forum post at sevenforums dated on Sep 2009 (post #9):

After this experience I'm quite anxious whenever the later versions of True Image have solved this issue, or are there any workable options for installation. I own two external HDDs with back-ups by True Image and would like to go on and have access to my back-ups later on. But now I need some assuring words by knowledgeable forum members / support staff telling about options how to avoid this serious issue of BSoD.

I look forward to helping replies. Thank you.
