True Image 2014 backups keep failing and take forever before failure.
The upgrade went without a hitch. All settings were transferred. The first backup took place and told me it would take 8 plus hours for a full backup. Using 2013, the full backup took only a couple of hours . I have a 2 gig external 3.0 drive for the backups and yes it's large. Over 300 gigs. The first backup failed and a message telling me to check the media for possible corruption. I did a hard drive test on it using various methods and everything is fine. I then deleted all my previous backups and started fresh. Again 8 hours and again failure. SO far I regret upgrading to something I cannot use and does not work.
Help...Either this needs to be corrected or I need to go to another software that can.

Does the computer indicate that the connection is occurring at usb3 speeds? Some laptops do not have 3.0 connectors or have only 1 usb3 connector which may have a blue tip. If you have multiple usb3 connectors, , try a different 3.0 connector and even try a different 3.0 cable.
What type external?

First of all I'm using a desktop with multiple USB 3.0 connections. The hard drives were scanned and report everything is fine. When using True Image 2013 everything was fine. These failures started IMMEDIATELY after I upgraded. I also remember when I upgraded to 2013 my computer became screwed up when I installed the boot restore function. Everyone said I was crazy, well amazingly the problem disappeared right after I installed the first update. NOW, here we are again with a problem that did not exist until I installed this upgrade. Now I wonder if I need to wait until the first update to fix it. My cables are fine, my 3.0 hookups are fine, my Hard Drives are fine and my computer is brand new and fine. Frustration is an understatement.

Just a follow up. I switched the backup location to another external drive and had the same problem. I then downloaded 2 free backup programs that do differential and incremental backups. Both had no problem backup up my C:,D: drives. Why can't a paid program like True Image do the same thing?

Jeoff, what were the programs that worked. That informaition would be useful in solving the issue with ATI.
