True image 2015 does not start
Hello,
I am running ATI 2015 with WIN 7. Since today the application does not start anymore.
That is what I did so far:
1. I have run the repair option of ATI. When it ended I wanted to start ATI but a critical error was shown
Runtime Error! Program: U:\userTemp\9F6FBAC...
2. I wanted to reinstall the program but the runtime error occurred again.
I appreciate any helpful assistance. Thank you.

Although I'm able to launch Acronis TI 2015, hitting the green 'backup' button has no effect whatsoever!!! I had the same problem last week and only got it to work after re-installing the product. At that point, I was able to do a full b/up: Entire PC (ACERVERITON)_full_b1_s1_v1.tib. At this point, I would be doing an incremental, but alas, it's not. I'm attaching one of those system report zip files fwiw.

Hi,
I have almost similar problems, maybe since the Last Windows Update. I have Vista64 and since a few days I can't start TrueImage anymore.
The Screen apears to be "unvisible", but the programm is working in the background. If you know where the buttons are you can start operations. Attached is a printscreen where you can see the "true-Image-window" above the white Desktop.
Maybe someone has a solution for me...

You missunderstood. The problem is not the white desktop, it is the translucent TrueImage-Window. It has something to do with the windows update from June. Still not sure which one... still working on it.

I have the exact same problem as Stefan. On starting True-Image I get a large black rectangle on the screen. This is exactly the size of the normal TI window but is completely transparent, except for a square black boundary line.
I run Vista 64. Problem occurred after Microsoft updates on June 9.
I've tried removing & reinstalling.

Sounds like a quirky Microsoft update then, good luck with it. Someone will figure it out at some point but might be awhile.

I have been experiencing this issue also. About a week ago, I loaded Acronis 2015 on a Win8.1 Pro system. This was a new install since I recently upgraded my OS. After the initial install Acronis worked, I set up Back-ups and schedules. About a week ago, Acronis will not load the UI. I can see the processes and application running in the background but no UI is visible. I have uninstalled the system and re-installed the system twice with no luck. I need some help getting this resolved.

I have the same issue after the latest Windows update for Vista 32bit. Uninstall and re-install does not seem to help. The UI is just a transparent screen.

This is definitely a problem with Windows Vista 64 updates on June 9, 2015. I uninstalled about 9 Windows specific updates & problem disappeared. On the same date, I also installed about 20+ updates for Office 2007. I left these in & they did not create problems, so it's one of the specific Windows updates on June 9. Not sure which, but I will explore.
I have Windows Vista 32 & will look into that, I also run Windows 8.1 & that seems to have no problems after the June 9 updates for Win8.1
Problem was pinpointed as KB3057839
Hopefully Acronis will contact Microsoft - the odds are that the issue may occur with other applications.

The problem is with one of those Updates, still not sure which one:
KB3057839, KB3059317 or KB3063858
The other ones I have installed without the problem occurring.

I am having a very similar problem. Running ATI 2015 Build 6525 on Windows 7 Pro, SP 1. This has worked fine for as long as I've had it, until last night.
Now, when I attempt to open--or start running--the application, a window opens, apparently to use to “Report a Problem to Acronis.” The problem with that is immediately thereafter a pop-up pops up, informing me, “Acronis True Image Home has stopped working ... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” This pop-up prevents me from using the Acronis form that has opened for reporting errors. Which of course leaves me in bind, where I have a problem but cannot report it, and most importantly I am unable to use my Acronis 2015 at all, which is a real problem, because I paid for this software so I could create and use backups, and now I have backups I can’t restore and a system I can’t back up. It seems unfair to charge me to fix a broken product, sort of like my data is being held for ransom.
Has anybody determined a solution for this? Or has it been agreed to blame Windows for this and await Microsoft's descent from the heavens to lend a helping hand? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I too had this problem on Vista x64 with True Image 2015 (latest version). Thanks to Stefan, uninstalling KB3057839 cured the problem.

I concur that by uninstalling Windows update KB3057839 resolved the transparent UI screen issue. Thank you for everyone's effort.

Thank you, folks. Uninstalling KB3057839 did not resolve my problem. But I have 5 other updates that were installed on 6/10/2015. The last time I ran a backup was 6/10/2015. The Windows updates installed on shutdown. I'll need to uninstall all of the updates AND disable automatic updates (otherwise they just come back) to arrive at QED. Don't know if I want to go there, but I will agree with the consensus. Either way I go, I'm working without a net.

After having removed the problem causing KB updates, if you then go to Windows Update and list the missing updates. Select them (but without installing them) then right click on each problem update and select "Hide this Update". That will stop them from being reinstalled unless you reinstate the hiden updates. I hope this helps.
