true image can't identify .tib backup files ?

Thread needs solution

I have some important tib backup files which were created with an earlier version of true image.

When I begin recovery and select which backup archive I want to use, it says this is not a true image server archive ?

How can I fix this ?

Is there anyway to check the .tib file and identify which product was used to create it ? This is really important!

ATI used to go back two versions for reverse compatiblity. I think the newer versions are only promised one-version reverse compatibility. I don't think there is any identifier in the tib file or ATI could tell you something sensible like "this tib was made with VErsion 10 and can only be restored with ATI 10 or 11" instead of the false and misleading error message that the tib file is not a tib file or is corrupt.

Try booting up with BootCDs form the various version you are likely to have used to creat the TB, starting with the latest first and you should hit gold pretty quick. E.g., if you try ATI 11, it will rstore 9, 10 and 11 -- assuming it works at all on your pc.
