True Image freeze at 10%

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

i've just installed TI Home 2010 (15dd evaluation). It froze after reaching 10% of the first backup. I tried to stop the process, with right mouse option "End process" with no result. I tried to stop with ctrl+alt+del without success.

I have Windows 7 Premium.

Thanks for your interest.

Stefano,

First run chkdsk /r (IF you don't have a command prompt icon on your start button, click START + R then in the RUN box type cmd in the command box type chkdsk /r) you will probably need to reboot if this is your system drive that you have the problem with.

After checkdisk has finished try running TI again.

Have you installed the trial version for All Users or just for yourself?

What type of image are you trying to make?

Good evening Mr. Colin B
i installed trial version fron here http://www.acronis.it/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ , for all user.
I hold default settings, i don't know what kind of image. It was the first time i launched the app, so it's the first backup image, the larger one.
Before reading your answer, i installed the english trial version (7046(?)) that works pretty good. English version differs from italian version?
I'll check if checkdisk fix the problem with my language version, thanks so much for now.

I runned chkdsk, with no error message result.
I reinstalled the italian version. I's definetively bugged. When windows starts, it's freezed by True Image in italian language. If i press "Left shift" during start up, windows don't freeze, but True Image freeze when i run the backup.
True Image english version don't have all this problem.
