True Image Home 2010 Universal restore Fails
I am attempting a universal restore, The back up is on USB drive 1 and drivers are loaded on USB 2. Each time I run the restore I get an error that stated "Recovery Failed". There is no other indication of what the error is or it's cause.
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW is there a forum search, the search at the top of the page seems to pull KB articles and not threads??
Thanks in advance.

Hello Jason!
Thank you for opening the thread and reporting about the issue, let me help you with it!
Unfortunately due to the lack of investigation information it is hard to identify the reason of the problem, and we would prefer to avoid guessing. So I would appreciate if you could kindly provide us with some additional information.
Let's try the following to have the clear picture of the problem: I will send you right now the special *.ISO via PM and would appreciate if you could try recovering from it. Should the issue persists, please kindly provide us with the following information:
- The sequence of steps you performed so that we could reproduce the issue.
- What drivers have you added while recovering. Please note that you need to add the drivers for the mass storage devices (RAID controller, chipset). Please gather the drivers, unpack them to be in *.oem and *.inf format and store in one folder.
- Please kindly send us the log of the operation: boot from the new Bootable CD, reproduce the issue and after the recovery, please, go to View -> Save all to file.
- Please gather Acronis Report from both machine (the source and the target)
- Please do the following to take Windows registry from the target system (that is, the system to which the image was restored):
* Create an Acronis True Image Bootable CD. The CD is used because in most cases the problem systems cannot boot into Windows.
* Boot the computer under consideration from the created Acronis True Image Bootable CD
* Create files/folders backup of \Windows\System32\Config\SYSTEM file
* Send us the created *.tib filePlease do the following to take Windows registry from the source system (there are two ways to do this):
* You can perform the same exact steps described above for capturing registry from target system and send us the *.tib file
* Or since the source system registry is already backed up as a part of a full hard disk drive or partition backup, you can simply restore \Windows\System32\Config\SYSTEM file from the image and send us the restored files/folders.So, we need two Windows registry exports: from source system and from target system.
After that please kindly contact us with the information gathered, we will review it and provide you with the solution.
Should you have any further questions or face any difficulties with gathering the diagnostic information - just let us know, we will definitely help you!
Thank you in advance for cooperation, I will wait for your reply!
