True Image Home 2011 problems

Thread needs solution

Can any body tell me why all of a sudden my Full Version of True Image Home 2011 fails to open when requested..it just come s back with a run time error saying"

RUNTIME ERROR!
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way?

I am using Win 7 ..do I need a upgrade to my 2011 to 2012? I think I have the current version but I cant check because it will not open. can anybody help or give me a direct email address for tech support so they can sort it out.

can some body point me to the support team where I can get a answer please or do I have to pay for the help??

Thank you for your post and welcome to our forum. I understand your concern and will do my best to assist you.

Unfortunately due to the lack of diagnostic logs it's hard to say for sure what caused the problem. To resolve this issue we would require additional investigation. Please submit a support request with an AcronisInfo, Userdump and an .msi log if applicable.

After much web searching and very hard to reach Acronis support even after paying for a "Incident support program" I worked it out my self and after paying around $40 for additional programs.

Solution:

* REVO PRO UNINSTALLER ( removes all traces of True Image 11 files)
* update Version of True Image 11 (current version)
* Devcon ia64 (install in WOW32 folder for Win 7)
* Acronis utility Cleaner
* Time and cups of coffee

remember to back up all registry files and any docs.

I think I will stick with Acronis until another good program come along with a much easier and better after sales support. The program is good but the support lets it down IMHO, I could be an Isolated incident but not from what I read on the forums I visited.

All traces of the product (in case you're proceeding with the uninstallation) can be removed by the Acronis True Image Home 2011 Clean-Up Utility (it's free and doesn't require any additional payment). If still some traces remain, then the issue requires close investigation.

I would also like to forward your support case related to this issue to the Directors team. Could you please specify me its number?
