True Image Home Does NOT See Files on My C: Drive
Hello,
I have an HP Media Center computer, Model M470N, from 2004, running Windows XP Professional. Recently I had some kind of corruption occur with the boot files on my computer, because after it turns on and shows an HP splash page, it then goes to a black screen with just a flashing white cursor.
I am trying to recover my C: drive, as that is where all my text, music and video files are. I downloaded True Image 2010 on another computer and created a boot disk to be used on the HP that won't boot. I put the boot disk into my CD-ROM, powered up the computer, and it went right to the True Image programs. The application could see my C: drive but did not list any of the folders on it, such as My Documents, Program Files, etc.
HP computers will have a partitioned drive with restore files on them, and my does have a D: drive with these files, and True Image sees these folders and files.
Why can't True Image see my C: Folders, and how can I restore view of them? True Image would do a backup of the entire C: drive, because I have tried it, but I'd mainly like to extract and save my personal files before doing a clean install of Win XP Pro. Anyone know how I can find see the personal files on C: drive?
