True Image Home says cloning is compledet but doesn't copy anything

Thread needs solution

I have used True Image Home 11 since I bought it without any problems.
And now I should make a new backup of my XP SP3 system.
I use the same external disk as always (an identical disk).
Cloning starts as it should, checks both disks, analyzes.

Then says cloning is completede WITHOUT copying anything.
The backup disk isn't even erased (and is 100% as before cloning).
So the product is useless, and I can't get any support w/o paying.
So I'm really frustrated.

The product should work with XP and have always worked before.
Now it doesn't anymore, and there is nowhere I can get help.
Only options is to buy a newer version or pay for support.
Doesn't really make me want to buy anything here the next time :-(

Anyway, anyone here that know anything I can try?
Or should I just buy another backup software?

Boot from from the TI Rescue CD and perform the procedure again.

I found a solution when reading similar topics on the net...

I found a thread about completion without anything beeing copied when cloning from one internal drive to another.

The fix for this was to disconnect/unplug all USB-devices that may interfer.

I tried this, unplugging my printer (that has a card-reader), and my web-camera.
I'm pretty sure the printer was connect the last time I cloned, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, after unplugging the USB-devices the cloning is working as it should !!

Strange error though. Can't Acrois tell a USB-card-reader or a web-camera from a external HDD?

Thanks Lars,
I ran into the exact same problem. Unplugged two USB devices, (1) Flatbed scanner & (2) Telephone Answering machine running under Phone Tray Plus. Then I rebooted
in safe mode and the clone worked as it had in the past. I will try to just work this solution down to one of the above. Sure seems like a problem that the
folk at Acronis could get resolved..
Merry Christmas to all
