Trueimage 2010 rescue disk and also f11
HELP! I have used Acronis stuff for several years now with success but now that
I purchased the 2010 Trueimage to use with Windows 7, things have changed. M
I made two NEW recovery disks and also set f11 to work on boot up via Trueimage. Made several backups which works fine.
My problem is that f11 and/or the recovery disk fails! The recovery disk works fine UNTIL it
brings up 2010 Trueimage and then my keyboard and mouse are DEAD....Nothing works short
of reboot.....f11 fails exactly the same way. I have had to reload Windows 7 from scratch...
even though I have at least 6 back up trueimage 2010 copies to use....they are useless right now
because I cannot restore them.
Why is my mouse and keyboard dead? I did NOT muck with the CD .... just let Trueimage create it
and wrongfully assumed that it will be useable when needed.....BTW, I have 2 recovery disks and BOTH exhibit the same problem.
Thanks for any advice.....not a happy trooper right now.

Thanks for the reply....I am running the 6.053 version of TI........
I do have a USB mouse....this is a brand new Dell computer.
Looked at BIOS and did not see anything about Legacy USB but USB is on and set for high speed.
When I reboot to the CD recovery disk, the computer reads the disk, and the first screen pops up where you select running TI or Windows......my mouse works fine with that screen so I select TI. Slowly, TI starts in what looks like DOS and in the TI screen, my mouse and keyboard do not respond at that point.....no keys function, and thus, the computer is locked forcing a power off to reboot. I cannot restore via Acronis.......the f11 is set in boot and that offers the exact same results.

I HAVE RESOLVED MY PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I follow directions to the letter.....well I just installed a new Dell 3ghz Corei7 and connected cables for keyboard and mouse EXACTLY as Dell shows....all works fine except for the Acronis Recovery disk and f11....well, for the hell of it, I tried reinstalling all my USB cables....in the process, I moved the mouse and keyboard to different usb ports and guess what? My keyboard and mouse work perfectly with my new computer and ALSO now with the Acronis rescue disks that I have made. UNBELIEVEABLE. Acronis must expect the cables be connected to specific com ports....must be because all is fine now.
You just cannot imagine the number of hours and days I have been working on this, reloading EVERYTHING many times and all along it was just the stupid cables.
What a huge sigh of relief and a huge UGH!
