TrueImage 2011 Buil 6868: Clone Settings ignores changes

Thread needs solution

I created a BackUp-Setting for one drive, e.g. C. The filename is C_System.tib and it's an Series of 14 incremential Backups before deleting the old ones. Then I clone these settings, change the volume and name, e.g. D and D_Programs.tib.

The result is, that Acronis TI 2011 is doing a backup of selected Volume but always with the name of the initial rule set. So my C_System.tib has been overwritten each time a cloned task starts. Backup content is selected volume but always the same name.

A similar task was posted at http://forum.acronis.com/forum/21900.

The current build and its prior ones cant be used to do usefull backups without configuring each one bei itselfs.

Furthermore Acronis looses the archive settings when the target drive is not mountet to the system. An order of C_System1.tib, C_System2.tib .... will be created new as C_System(1)1.tib, C_System(1)2.tib .... when the target is not accessable creating the backups.

Is there any usefull help? System is W7 64bit GER, 16GB RAM, 8 Core CPU.
Currentlky it seems to be a buggy release at all.

Many thanks Torsten

RE task edits -- especially name changes and dong incs, it's best, imo, to create a new "task/rule set" and start with an empty target directory (move you curent tibs to another location if you wnat to keep them.

RE access, not tibs at all should be created if the target is not accessible; there's no target to write to. Could you explain that problem a littel more fully?
