Try and Decide won't work

Thread needs solution

I've read other posts about Try and Decide and nothing that I've seen

has helped me with my program. I'm running Win XP  SP2. TI  Home 2009

build 9796. I've uninstalled and reinstalled nothing helps. I checked

control panel and I do not have anything in there except scheduler running

running. I made my secure zone on my C drive. How big does it have to

be? I've tried different sizes but nothing seems to work. All other features

seem to work OK. I didn't try untill after 30 days were up so I guess I have

no other support except this group.

Thanks

Jerry

I tried it using 2009 and it seems to work ok. I did a thing where i edited a simple test file and then an Access database and I did it twice, once saying I did not want the changes and then again saying I did. Both worked ok.

Hello Jerry,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

Can you please describe the issue in more details? Do you receive BSOD while using Try&Decide option? If so have you tried to disable Try&Decide Service (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services)?

All I receive is a pop up that says:

Error:

Failed to start Try & Decide.

There is no Try&Decide service listed in Control panel/Admin Tools/Services.

I bought  TI 2009 Home a few weeks ago and I have just tried to use Try & Decide

and I am getting the same problem and the same error message

Failed to start Try & Decide

So does anyone know where we go from here ??

Peter

One more question as I've noticed in system requirements it mentions XP  SP3.

Do you have to have SP 3 as I only have SP 2 and really don't want 3. Does

any one else have same or do some of you that are having problems also have

XP  SP3 installed?

Thanks

Jerry

Hi Jerry

No I have SP 3 and it still does not work and I still cannot get any sense out of acronis

Its very annoying as only bought the program recently and they don't seem to want to help

So where do we go from here ????
