Try & Decide: useful? reliable? safe?

Thread needs solution

What's the word on Try & Decide? Has that feature evolved to become useful, or is it best avoided?

I remember in the old dsys on the Wilder forum, we "experts" avoided it due to issues with it, but it was a fairly new feature at that point so I wonder if it has now matured. It's a great concept, something I'd use a lot, if it were bulletproof reliable.

I would not use it. Better to image your system using the recovery disc and then reimage it after testing.

I concur with marty56. If you deal with software that can lead to reboots, BSODs, etc, I would trust only an image. Of course you don't really know ahead of time...

That's pretty much as I expected, and why I've not used Try & Decide.

Thanks for the comments.

I have a trial version of Acronis Acronis True Image Home 2012 De try & Decide carried out,
when getting out, I get a BSOD 2x.

I also have constant problems with the restore copy, menus recovery is not clear.
3 possibilities, very slow, and I miss startup with USB.
Recovering image system works well, sometimes, some programs that I have a legally
program uses, what is not true.
2012 now works with me which I could not say of 2011, which was a nightmare.
