Unable to Boot rescue Media from Captiva Notebook
I try to create a first backup of the built-in SSD on a USB stick.
For this I tried to use the boot CD. Unfortunately this could not be booted.
Also the Acronis Linux system which can be created via the Rescue Media Builder on a USB stick does not boot.
I have also tried the method with the WinPE. Unfortunately also no boot possible.
From the BIOS under Save & Exit, I select the USB stick under Boot Override. When I press Enter at the USB Stick item, the screen is briefly dark and the BIOS screen reappears. It seems not to accept the boot media!
I try similar with a USB stick on the Win 10 setup is installed, then starts the setup of Windows, which I then aboart. So booting of the USB is possible, if the Stick is right!
Here the data of the System

Thanks for the hints. The secure boot is not enabled on this system.
I noe tryed the 2017 version. It updates my 2015 version, and my 2015 license is lost by doing that. Now I have only a test version of 2017 on my PC.
I createtd a 2017 boot media (Linux) and it boots the Notebook! Unfortunately I cant create a backup now, because of the trial version.

I will spent the 50€ for the new version now.

The trial version should work with full function for 30 days when running from within Windows before becoming very limited, but good to hear that the 2017 version boots the Notebook OK for you. The Rescue Media only allows Restore for trial copies.
