Unable to Initiate a Full Backup

Thread needs solution

After successfully doing several full backups in the past, today, after clciking "Proceed" I got an ERROR Msg: Failed to create the scheduled task, Error No. 1722; RPC server unavailable, 0xFFF0. I was re-directed to the Knowledge Base, and found "No information is available at this time." Any one have suggestions on where to go from here?? Thanks.

I would reinstall again over the top of the existing.

Restart the install (download) file for your current version and build. Start the install program and choose install. Then you will get a repair option and this is your choice.

If you are not up to date on your current build, now is the time to update.

Hello all,

Thank you for posting and helping.

Koosharem, I will do my best to help you.

I would recommend to check this article for the solution and if you need additional help, please let me know.

Thank you.

GroverH, Seekforever & Anton -- Thank each of you for your suggestions! YES, I was able to solve the problem!! It was, indeed, the fact that I had turned "Acronis Scheduler2" off since the last backup session. At that time, I confused this entry in the Windows Services listing as being responsible for running pre-scheduled Acronis backups (I prefer to do backups "manually").

In case others are interested, I'll sketch-out what I did. Run "Services.msc" from Windows Start->Run. Near the top of the "Services (Local) window, find "Acronis S...". Right-click on that entry and select "Properties" in the drop-down box. At the general tab, in the "Startup Type" box make sure "Automatic" is shown. If not, change it to "Automatic" and click "Start" in the "Service Status" box below. Then click "Apply" (or "OK") and you're done!

I gotta' be more "restrained" in scrubbing-down the auto-start processes/services list in an effort to reduce bootup-time!!

Later . . .
