Unable to Run After Install - "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file."
I downloaded and installed True Image Home 2014 on my corporate laptop. When I attempt to run, I get the following:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
The path referenced is c:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome\TrueImageLauncher.exe . . . I have Windows 7, 64-bit.
I have ensured through the company's tech support that this file . . . plus the entire directory . . . are fully read/writable by myself. I have
1) Installed as an admin
2) Logged in as an admin, then installed
Any clues? A second user in the company is having the same exact symptom. She is the only other Acronis user I personally know . . . this is supposedly the company "preferred" backup solution . . . at this point it is dead in the water.
