Unable to see created image under the Bootable Rescue Media - DVD
hi, i have been having difficulty with creating Image file under DVDs.
here is my story
i use acronis to deploy image for my customer system. As time pass by, system Image is getting larger size, from 400mb image it grew in to 1.7gb image.
i used to create Rescue Media CD and then boot it up, then i will create the image on the bootable disc as well. (to save disc).
i will deploy system with the created disc. simply boot up the system with the CD and browse the Image file in the cd. When the image is larger then a CDs. i will need to use DVD solution.
now here is the problem.
the same step i have done. I uses blank DVD to create Rescue Media DVD, then i boot-up with the DVD. I create the Image.tib file on the bootable dvd disc. (success) so when i deploy the image to my system, i boot up with the Rescue Media DVD then i browse the DVD for the Image. i not able to see the created image that i have done earlier.
Then i remove the DVD and put it under my PC and browse it under "My computer", The image is already created inside the DVD.
I have tested on this few Acronis version.
- Acronis Ture Image Home 2010
- Acronis True Image Personal 2010 OEM
- Acronis True Image Personal 2012
- Acronis True Image Home 2013
does anyone face the issue on this too? i need help on the issue

hi Peter,
thanks for the reply,
yes iam aware of the license, that why we get the Acronis True Image Personal 2010 OEM. As the others is evaluation to let me test out.
from the Online help information, it seem like it didnt really mention the step i use to do.
let me ask again if the steps i do have any inflict or wrong doing?
1) take a blank CD-R and use the Acronis Rescue Media Builder to create Bootable Media.
2) Boot system with the Created Bootable Media.
3) Backup the system and image were store directly to the same CD.
4) system successfully backup to CD.
5) recover from the CD. Boot Up the system with the CD,
6) choose recovery and browse the CD for backup file.
7) continue to recovery process.
above is usually what i do with image created on CD.
so when time come i need to change the media from CD to DVD. i use back the same process.
everything was fine till step 6
i cannot browse the backup file created earlier.
all i can see is just a folder call "Recovery Manager"
At first i thought it was i did not create the Image in dvd. So i take the DVD to my computer. From "My Computer" i browse the DVD. There i found 1 folder "Recovery Manager" together with my backup file.
then i put back the DVD to another system and boot up. Same case i still not able to see backup file.
is there any step i at miss.
