Uninstalling Acronis true Image Home 2009.
Hey.
I went through the "read before you post" thread to try and uninstall it without having to actually start a new topic or ever ask for help, but as access was denied to certain links in that topic i could not fix this myself (tried other topics similar to the issue i have and could neither use those).
The product is registrered on my account, i've so far used the remove programs features in vista (32bit home premium), as i were unable to locate the uninstall through the program, it (removing through vista) leaves an icon in itself (programs and features) which i cannot remove and a few files:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis: 2 empty folders.
C:\ProgramData\Acronis: ArchieveOptions (1), Database (2), Logs (1), Scripts (1), tnd (1) (folders, with number of files still on my system)
possible entries in system32
these are files i've not tried to manually delete, yet.
Problem:
I simply need to uninstall Acronis True Image Home 2009 from my system.
(i've tried the cleanup utility, which gets stuck after not finding an updated version of msizap.exe (mscuui), also read about it resetting the driver update information for all software installed which haltered me from going any further with that method.
I've seen the manual one beneath - but i really want to know if i can:
1. Use an updated version of your removal tool that doesnt have the issue mentioned before.
2. Manually delete the files mentioned and some files/entries that you list.
3. Use the solution beneath (note i really want to avoid this solution if possible).
Possible solution (?)
This solution was posted somewhere else, and i do have a valid Vista copy but it is an OEM disc which does not work every time you put it in the computer so im not really eager to try and repair my system with it, as im a student i neither wish to pay the price it costs to get a new disc for my valid key because of being unable to uninstall your program.
Anyway here is the solution proposed.

Hello Nick,
Thank you for using Acronis Products
You should repair Vista Boot Configuration Data in the following way:
1. Put the Windows Vista installation disc in the CD\DVD disc drive, and then (re)start the computer;
2. Press a key when you are prompted;
3. Select language, time, currency, keyboard or input method, and then click Next;
4. Click Repair your computer;
5. Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next;
6. In the System Recovery Options dialog box click Command Prompt;
7. Type the following:
Bootrec.exe /FixMbr
Bootrec.exe /FixBoot
If you want to completely rebuild Boot Configuration Data, then you should issue the following command:
Bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd
This command scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista. Additionally, this option lets you select the installations that you want to add to the Boot Configuration Data store.
