Uninstalling True Image 2013 ( 6514) causes Win8 BOSD 0xc000135
When I try to uninstall True Image 2013 ( 6514) is cause my Win8 PC to Blue Screen endlessly.
The error is 0x000135. I tried the following things in safe mode and normal.
1. Uninstall using Windows remove programs = reboots with BOSD 0xc000135
2. Repair install using the installer, reboot then uninstall
3. Using ATIH_Cleanup_Tool. The first step removing the Acronis device. I rebooted without BOSD.
The second step (deleting files&folder, Registry and drivers) causes the blue screen.
The only way I boot in windows is use System restore.
Other thing I did was unstalling Outpost Security Suite. Windows Defender is disable as well.
I try uninstalling build 5551 on an early backup and that works fine. Then install build 6514 then uninstall. Boots without problem. Seems like the problem is with back ups that installed over 5551.
It's quite a serious bug.

Jojo,
Is your system now working properly?

I am currently experiencing the same issue. After I uninstalled 6514 the computer refuses to boot with an endless 0xc0000135 error that can't be repaired.
Right now, I am performing a system restore.
The system restore showed as failed but to my biggest surprise it worked.
In that system restore, I was running an older version of True Image and I was able to uninstall it successfully.
I then tried to reinstall 6514 but I got a BSOD at the end of the installation: system_thread_exception_not_handled fltsrv.sys
After a reboot True Image was unable to see the drives.
I ran ATIH_Cleanup_Tool as administrator (Uninstalled Acronis Devices manually and proceed with uninstallation)
After the reboot I reinstalled 6514 and it installed without BSOD.
After another reboot, everything works perfectly but I will not try again to uninstall it.

Out of interest;
Had a Secure Zone been activated?
Had the Acronis Recovery Manager been activated?
Had Try & Decide been used?
Is this a DAID, using Microsoft Storage system or just MBR/UEFI machine?
Just trying to see what could ahve caused your problem, I've been able to install and uninstall 6514 in W8 on a Lenovo Edge 420 on a SSD MBR system.

Hi Colin,
Secure Zone has not been activated.
The Acronis Recovery Manager has been activated before but it has been de-activated before uninstalling True Image
Try & Decide has not been used.
It is a Dell Inspiron 7520 laptop. But please note that I had the older version installed before and I upgraded to 6514. Then I decided to uninstall it in order to perform a "Clean Install" instead of an upgrade.
