Universal Restore and Intel C600 RAID Controller

Thread needs solution

I have ATIH 2011 w/ plus pack. I have used this many times to restore an O/S to dissimilar hardware and I've done it on RAID controllers several times.

I am trying to restore to an Intel C600 RAID controller. I know I have the right driver because I can install the OS from scratch using that driver. However, Acronis always tells me that it cannot locate the driver. I know from experience that if you don't have the right driver, Acronis will react the same way. Since I know this is the right driver, I assume that maybe ATIH 2011 is too old to recognize this chipset? I believe this is the case because ATIH will never see the logical drive correctly. It only show the physical drives.

My question is, if I fork out the cash to buy the upgraded 2014 version, will it see this chipset correctly in RAID mode?

Greetings,
You don't have to risk anything. You can download the trial of 2014 and test the recovery media with this hardware for free.

You should be able to download the bootable recovery media .iso using the serial number that will generate using the link above. Create an Acronis user acct, register and download. Good luck!

Some controllers are/will never be supported by the native storage controller drivers included with the various Linux kernals each version of ATIH uses.  In these cases, support can only be provided by creating a WinPE boot disk.
