Universal Restore doesn't work with Nonstop Backup
Just installed Plus Pack for True Image 2010 (build 6053). I notice that in the Windows Version and Emergency CD, there is no option for Universal Restore when using Nonstop Backup.
Is this on purpose? If so, this kind of makes the Plus Pack useless for me as I had switched to Nonstop backup.
So am I better off ditching nonstop backup and going back to doing a weekly backup using incrementals?
I liked the idea of having more backups..
Or use Non-stop plus maybe a monthly backup?
Frigging ridiculous. This is the main reason I probably won't buy the next version of True Image, nor will I recommend anyone else purchase this current version.
I bought True Image 2010 so I could use the new features: Non-Stop Backup and Universal restore.
I spend a few hours working with support trying to get it working. Then they tell me that Universal Restore isn't supposed to work with Non-stop backup.
Finally, to make it worse, then send me an email once every 3 days asking me to mark the case as "RESOLVED", unless I am still not completely satisfied. So I keep responding saying that I'm not satisfied because the product should work with both features. They keep sending me an email asking me to mark it resolved. I keep responding saying I'm not happy. How frigging pathetic....
A similar thing happened to me with a feature in True Image 2009. They kept emailing me asking me to respond and say it was resolved. I gave up then.
