Universal restore for image cretated without Universal restore capable Acronis version

Hi,
I have disk images (*.tib files) created by Acronis 2013 (without universal restore module) from a Win 8 machine. Suppose my computer gets stolen and I want to recover a disk image from the USB hard drive to a brand new win 8 machine with dissimilar hardware.
Suppose I buy Acronis 2014 with universal restore module and install that on the new machine.
Will that enable me to restore the old image to the new machine??

Hi again,
I need to clarify my previous post:
In the described scenario the old computer gets stolen before I buy Acronis 2014 with universal restore module.
So there is no option for me to run the new Acronis software (with universal restore module) on the old machine.
The Acronis 2014 with universal restore module can only be run on the new machine using image from the old machine.
