upgrade to Acronis True Image 2014 problem

Thread needs solution

Hello all, i need some help here
5 days ago i got this WD my book 3TB ext hard drive and this program came bundled with it and i love this APP so i got the upgrade and when i tried to install it and it wouldn't do it.
i didnt know what was going on so i uninstalled it (and the original file too) so now im left with this upgrade and now i dont know what to do with it.
i spent the last 1 1/2 hr reading the help files and every link i clicked on took me further away from what i need to make this work and my head is just about to explode if i read another paragraph, maby someone can point me to a download page with what i need to get this working.

I am assuming that what came buindled with the drive was the Western Digital version of TrueImage.
In order to have a successful upgrade from the Western Digital version to the standard Acronis version, the Western Digital version must still be installed. This procedure applies when upgrading to the reduce price upgrade version. The full price standard version does not require that WD be installed but it may require that the WD version be uninstalled before the full price version can be installed.

You can try using the Acronis Cleanup utiiity (link below) and remove all remnants of True Image.

Then depending upon what you want to do,
either install the full price standard version.

or if want to use the upgrade version,
then after the cleanup has been performed,
then re-install the Westerrn Digital version which should be available to all from the Western Digital website.
and then install the upgrade version of TrueImage.

I have tried to install 2014 Premium and no matter what I do it will not run. Just comes up with a message saying 'Acronis is not responding'. Support page is useless as it looks for an error code but as I do not have one, and have no un-installed do not have a version number you cannot ask for help. What a stupid system!! Has anyone found a way around this problem? I have made sure Kaspersky is paused, Spybot (free version is removed) and Windows Defender is off, but still doesn't work. Help!!!!

If you just purchased online, did you get an email from Cleverbridge with subject such as "Reference #5XXXXXX: Your Acronis True Image 2014 Upgrade (English) order" or such? It should come with a serial number. You can then use the serial number to register the product online. This will allow you to access the support. You'll first have to register online using the instructions at: http://kb.acronis.com/content/4834

If you did not get your email from Cleverbridge with your serial numbers, have you seen the link at https://store.acronis.com/882/?scope=cuseco&id= entitled "purchase lookup page"? When you click on that link, you should then be able to click on details next to your version and obtain your serial number.
