Upgraded to TI 2014 - Cloud Backup Starting As If New

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded to True Image 2014 from 2013. When attempting a cloud backup, Acronis is backing up every file as if it's a new backup and not an incremental. This is taking quite some time and the files are already part of my cloud backup. Is there a solution to this or do I need to let it treat this as a new backup?

Hi JSH,

thank you for your posting!

I checked your account and didn't find any duplicates.

Could you please provide me with more details? How did you understand, that all files are backed up anew? Are there any related messages in logs?

Thank you.

Acronis TI2014 appears to be uploading every file contained in the backup. These files are already there. Although my upload speed is higher than 11gbs Acronis shows at 96kbs. I don't know if it is validating every file or uploading every file but the backup has been running for more than 5 days straight now.

Thanks for your help!

Hello JSH,

as I see you are already working on the problem with our support professionals. I'm sure they'll help you to find the reason of such behaviour.

At least from our side everything looks ok, no duplicates etc.

Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem. I upgrade from ATIH 2013 to ATIH 2014.
When I backup my computer a lot of unmodified files (jpeg images) are saved again in the cloud. The only thing I notice is a difference of exactly one (or two hours) between date/time of files on my computer and date/time of files in the cloud (may be a problem with Daylight Savint Time ? I am french and now it's winter time).

Another problem: my upload speed is normaly 900kbs. Sometime this speed slow down to 98kbs and never increase again to normal speed. I am obliged to abort backup processing and to restart it. When I restart backup processing upload speed become nominal. May be it's due to the connection length (one or two days) ?

Thank you for your help.

Hello

I have the exact same problem. I upgraded from ATIH 2012 to ATIH2014 on 2 PC. Both PC are now acting the same : when I try to refresh my cloud backups, ATIH2014 want to re-upload every files. I have more than 26 gbs in the cloud and just and ADSL connection, so I would like very much to avoid resending everything.

Plus I would like the reason of this to avoid this issue to happen again when I'll upgrade to the next version in a year or two.

I'm also in France and it is also winter time, so maybe there is a link ???

Thanks

Laurent

I have the same exact problem and am the US on an otherwise quick connection which uploaded GB's of data to Bitcasa without incident recently. I would like to continue with my cloud backup, so please help soon.
