Upgrading Boot Drive to larger drive

I have a laptop with two hard drives. My C: is the Windows 7 boot SSD (128gb). My D: is a 1TB data drive. My C: drive has run out of room. I want to create an image of my C: drive onto my D:drive, then swap out the C: with a larger C: drive. Then restore the image from D: onto the new C: SSD drive. Will this work using TI 2015?

Also, in trying to download and install TI, the program keeps automatically installing on my full C: drive, so the installation keeps failing. I'm trying to have TI install itself on my D: drive. Any ideas how to do this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is your SSD a mSata disk or a SATA disk?

If the second one, yes you can do this operation the way you describe it easily. YOu don't need to install ATI on your computer to do the backup, but you will have to purchase the license, that you will register, then you can download a bootable ISO from the web site, make a USB disk or CD disk bootable with it (for a USB to boot into the ISO you wil need a small tool like Yumi, to burn a CD wit the ISO you will need some burning software probably). You would then boot the computer on the medium and do your backup.
