Upgrd frm TIH 2011 to TIH 2012 and Where is the Plus Pack
I purchased an upgrade for TIH2012. I see all the chatter about failures to install etc etc... So, what is the BEST method to move to TIH 2012. Would it be prudent to Uninstall 2011 (maybe with Revo Uninstaller?), boot and install TIH 2012 ? Since this is an Upgrade, will any prior version have to be on the computer ? Is there any difference for upgrade install procedures for XP Pro and Win7/64?
Another thing... I do have TIH2011 w/the Plus Pack. I saw NO reference to teh Plus Pack when purchasing the TIH 2012 upgrade. Restoring a disk with the universal restore is important to us. We need that ability. So where is the 2012 Plus Pack or is that included in the TIH2012 upgrade download. I only have ONE Key for the 2012.
I look forward to hearing comments concerning this issue.

Grover,
As always, I really appreciate your comments and expertise.
Now that I have seen so many comments concerning TIH2012, I have decided to delay the install.
The number ONE reason to delay: I absolutely have to have reliable backups for my production system.
Think I will remain on TIH2011 until I feel a bit more confident.
Thanks for the info on the plus pack. I have to be able to recover to our standby backup computer if we have a catastrophic hardware failure. That recovery has been tested with TIH2011 several times and seems very reliable.
I just had "visions" that the 2012 TIH would be better and have a better GUI. After seeing so many "comments", I am way too nervous and I cannot test by placing the system on a backup because of all the hassels with activation and then de-activation and re-activations on our production computer.... blah...
If you have any new "insights" as to installation of TIH2012, by all means, share with me. I am very appreciate of your efforts to help of of us ! Thanks !
Best Regards,
Steve

It definitely has a different interface; whether or not you'll prefer it, I don't know. I was taken aback when I first saw it, but only because I wasn't expecting it.
It is simpler looking, but everything is still there somewhere.
By the way, I didn't have any trouble installing it.
