USB keyboard dies on p67 chipset

Gigabyte ga-p67a-ud3-b3 mobo, sandybridge chipset p64 with the 2600k in it. Bootable media keyboard dissapears after the initial selection menu of either boot into windows or run acronis. USB keyboard, have tried moving it to all usb ports same deal. Also tried the alt-shift- numlock and nada. This happens with latest version 11 release and also the older v10 latest release.

That board has the P67 Express chipset. Do you have Legacy USB Support enabled in the BIOS?

On my ASUS P67 board, the mouse doesn't work on the Acronis menu, but both the mouse and keyboard (both wired USB) work once TI 2011 is running (2010 worked too). I assume you mean the 2011 and 2010 versions and not the older 11 and 10 versions.
