Usng Acrons True Image 2015 to Backup Entire Hard Drive

Thread needs solution

Please point me to the documentation for the correct process to use Acronis True Image 2015 to back up my desktop PC's entire hard drive, including operating system. I want to put this backup on a large external USB drive. (Please note this is a large external USB drive that has other files on it, but it also has enough room for the C drive backup.) I will disconnect the external drive and put it away, in case of a desktop PC hard drive failure. I would then use that backup to get my desktop PC up and running. I am just looking for documentation for the correct process to do this. Thank you.

This 48422 link has much useful information but once inside the 48422 link, you need to clich on the line reading "Acronis True Image 2015: Product Description and How-To's"

Thank you for the instructions for Creating an Entire PC Backup. If I follow those instructions and someday need to restore from the Acronis backup I create, will I be able to do that without a Windows disk? Without any additional software? Thanks again for your assistance.

In theory, Yes, but
you need to create the user created TI Recovery CD
attach the disk containing the backup
boot from the TI recovery and make sure both the backup and target disk can be accessed.
Restore a test file to make sure it all works.

If you do the above, then success is strong probabilty.
