I was validating 2 different backups of the 500 GB (200 GB of content) system drive (C:)on 2 different external drives with different drive letters and they both croaked on the error message about an Error occurred while reading the file; a possible reason may be poor media quality. They are both 3 TB Seagate drives that are wholly seen in Win XP.

I had rebooted between finishing the backup & validating to refresh the Kernel Memory, which has been required on this machine when I had TI 2011 w/ Plus Pack before I upgraded very recently.
Both validation errors mentioned Volume 3.

Tried to use the Acronis Support Center & it didn't like my Event Code with the following error message...
