Version chains keep building up?
I am using consolidation on my backups. I use these settings:
Create a new version after every 6 incremental versions
Store no more than 4 recent version chains
One of my backups now has 23 version chains. I have tried deleting the backup and creating a new one, but the same issue keeps happening. The version buildup finally causes a time out due to disk being full.
Can anyone tell me what to do to correct this issue?
Thank you.

Not sure how the OP got on with his issue, but I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Same settings, so create new version every 6 incrementals, storing no more than 4 recent version chains etc.
I'm now up to 7 version chains (7 full plus 39 incrementals (part way through seventh week)).
This did work initially, indeed I have another backup that I set up at the same time that is still functioning normally, so I really don't understand.
To be fair, i've had a few issues other than this with ATI2013 since installing (after upgrading to win8 pro 64-bit), such as my last backup of the day is set to shut down the computer, very occasionally this doesn't happen, until I launch the application gui to have a look why, and it then immediately initiates the shutdown as the gui launches, and also sometimes, backups would simply not run, (which I think has now been resolved after replacing some ATI2013 system files as per another thread I found on these forums). I just assumed these were bugs with the new version on a new OS, and hoped they would be fixed with a patch.

We might see an update for 2013 soon.
About your task, I would create a new one in a different directory. Ideally, delete the current taks altogether. If you want, move manually the TIB files you want to keep to a hidden directory on the same disk, then delete the ask.
