Warum dauert eine Sicherung extrem lang?

Thread needs solution

I have for the first time a backup is triggered (securing 1st hard disk 2 SATA hard disk).
The backup run takes an extremely long, after 8 hours only 650 GB were secured. Is that normal?
I have stopped the backup, but after the disk was again "empty".
You can not pause and resume it later the backup drive?

Hello Dirk,

If this is your first backup of your system, then I would recommend reading through the Getting Started, Basic Concepts and Backing up data sections of the ATIH 2015 User Guide which will help you understand how the product works.

With regard to the time the backup takes, 8 hours for 650GB, we would need to understand more about your system in order to comment on this performance information.

What type of backup are you trying to perform?  Full, Incremental, Differential, Sector by Sector?

What is the size of the hard drive being backup up?  How many partitions are included, what sizes?

Where are you backup up the image files to?  Are you using an external drive, USB connection, Network drive?

What else is happening on your system at the same time as the backup task?
Are you doing the backup within Windows or booted from standalone recovery media?
