What is the BEST way to do a system backup?

Thread needs solution

Would it be to do a full "system" partition to an .asz? or full "system" disk to .asz? (seeing as the system partitions off part of the full disk for it's own use)

OR is there a better way? Like a clone disk to .asz or what?

I'm looking for the best backup/set up for a solid system restore form rescue media if needed.

thanks

PS: I think there used to be an option for this in the older versions of Acronis but I don't see it in 2015.

If you are going to perform the backup from with Windows from with TrueImage, this option is the best to use.
HOWEVER, if you your two internal disks, then this option will include both which you may not want.
If you have two internals and only wish to image your system disk, then you will need to choose the partition backup and there you will need to select all the partitions associated with your system disk.

The option also still exists whereby you boot from the TI Recovery CD and perform the backup when booted from the CD.

From the CD, you would need to checkmark the disk block associatd with the disk.
When you checckmark the disk block, all partition associated with the system disk should become checked.

In 2012-2014, there was the option "select disk mode" and that option preselected the disk with alll its partitions.
IN 2015 and 2016, the equivalent option is Entire PC BAckup whichis a disk option backup.
