What does "prevent the computer from going to sleep/hibernate" do?

Thread needs solution

Hi all. I am using: Acronis True Image Home 2012 Update 2 (build 7119) and Windows 7-64.

Under - Schedule your operation: Advanced settings:
I have selected "Wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer"

My questions concern the next setting:
Schedule your operation: Advanced settings: "Prevent the computer from going to sleep/hibernate"
1. If selected will this setting keep the computer from going to sleep? (Override the WIN 7 Power Options)
2. If not selected, will the computer wake-up to do the operation?

Thanks. Cal

Not all users have good luck when their systems are configured to use sleep/hibernation together with scheduled backups. You would need to test these settings on your system to be sure they work as expected.

I understand these options to mean the following:

1. The option: Prevent the computer from going to sleep/hibernate, is used so that the system will not enter sleep/hibernate during the backup operation. When the operation is finished, it will sleep/hibernate according to your Windows settings.
2. The computer will still "wake up" to do the backup, but may go back into sleep/hibernate during the operation if this option is unchecked.
